This past weekend we watched Spider Man - No Way Home and learned about how we struggle with wanting to do good, but it not always turning out like we hoped.  Fortunately our salvation isn't reliant on good deeds. Instead Jesus took our sin through his death, and through him we have eternal life with God.

Carve out some time today, to dig into this week's message and explore some of the key points using the discussion questions below. Discuss with a friend or your group, or simply take some personal time to journal your answers and consider what God is trying to teach you this week.

Discussion Questions:

  • Icebreaker: What are you thankful for this week?
  • Why is it tempting to think, because we have done something good, we deserve something good in return?
  • Read Romans 7:15-19. What do you learn about the human condition from this passage?
  • Read Romans 6:23. How does this verse encourage you when you consider it in light of the verses above?
  • How can you praise God this week for his sacrifice and share this good news with others?

Series Theme Verse:

Romans 1:20

For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.
