CedarCreek Perrysburg: Events for People New to the Area

Church Community: Soarion Digital

Tuesday, June 30, 2026

Moving somewhere new means starting over in more ways than one. You find your grocery store, your go-to coffee shop, your routes to work, but finding your people takes longer. At CedarCreek Perrysburg, we've built a community that's specifically designed to make that part easier, and we host events throughout the year with newcomers in mind.

Whether you just moved to Perrysburg or you've been here a while and just haven't found your footing yet, here's what's available.

A Place to Land Every Weekend

The most consistent entry point we offer is a simple one: show up to a weekend service. Services at our Perrysburg campus run about an hour and include live worship music, free coffee, and Bible-based teaching that connects to everyday life. No dress code, no expectations, and no moment where you'll feel put on the spot.

Our DreamTeam volunteers are there every weekend specifically to welcome people who are new — to the area, to the church, or to faith in general. They'll help you find your way around, answer questions, and point you toward whatever next step makes the most sense for where you are.

Service Times:

  • Saturdays at 5pm

  • Sundays at 8:30am

  • Sundays at 10am

  • Sundays at 11:30am

We're located at 29129 Lime City Rd., Perrysburg, OH 43551. You can reach us at (419) 661-8661 or pre-register your family online before your first visit at cedarcreek.tv/perrysburg.

Events Built for Newcomers Throughout the Year

Beyond regular weekend services, we host events throughout the year that give newcomers a natural, low-pressure way to connect with others in the Perrysburg community. These aren't formal orientation sessions or structured programs — they're genuine opportunities to meet people, ask questions, and start building the kind of friendships that make a new place feel like home.

Some of our most accessible events for newcomers include:

Serve Day — July 25th: One of the best ways to meet people quickly is to work alongside them toward something meaningful. Serve Day is our biggest community service day of the year, and first-timers consistently tell us it's the thing that made CedarCreek feel real to them. No prior commitment, no membership required — just show up and serve.

Second Saturday Serves: Every month, teams from the Perrysburg campus head out into the community for hands-on outreach. It's a recurring, welcoming entry point that doesn't require you to know anyone beforehand, and it's one of the most natural ways to start building friendships at CedarCreek.

Halloweekend — October 31st and November 1st: A fun, family-friendly event that's a great low-stakes way to experience CedarCreek for the first time with your family.

At The Movies — November 7th through 29th: A special series that uses popular films to explore deeper questions about life and faith. It's one of the most approachable series we run and a great starting point for people who are curious about church but not sure where to begin.

Christmas: Our Christmas services are one of the most popular times for newcomers to visit for the first time. Warm, memorable, and genuinely welcoming — bring the whole family.

Finding Your People Through Groups

Events are a great starting point, but groups are where lasting friendships tend to form at CedarCreek Perrysburg. Our semester-based groups meet throughout the Perrysburg area and are organized around shared life stages and interests. Whether you're new to Perrysburg, new to faith, or both, there's likely a group that fits where you are right now.

You can browse what's available, reach out to a leader, and try a couple before committing to one. No prior church background required.

For Families

If you're moving to Perrysburg with kids, CedarCreek Kids runs every weekend for newborns through 4th grade — safe, age-appropriate, and genuinely fun. Middle schoolers have their own space during services, and high schoolers gather Wednesday nights from 7 to 8:30p. Pre-register your family online before your first visit to make check-in quick and easy.

Pastoral care is also available for significant life moments, hospital visits, weddings, funerals, because we believe a church should show up for you beyond Sunday mornings, especially when you're new and don't have a built-in support system yet.
