CedarCreek Toledo: Where Faith Meets Community Service

Church Community: Soarion Digital

Thursday, May 28, 2026

At CedarCreek, we've always believed the church shouldn't just exist inside its own four walls. In Toledo, that belief shows up in some pretty tangible ways — and if you're someone who wants to make a real difference in your city, there's a place for you here.

You don't need to have your faith all figured out to get involved. In fact, for a lot of people, serving is exactly how they start to find it.

Second Saturdays: The Easiest Way to Jump In

Second Saturdays are the easiest way to get involved in serving the local community. Once a month, we head out into Toledo to take on hands-on projects — neighborhood cleanups, food and clothing distribution, supporting local families, and more. It's low-pressure, it's practical, and it's genuinely one of the best ways to meet people quickly.

There's something that happens when you work alongside someone toward something that matters. Conversations get real. Walls come down. If you've been looking for a way to connect without just sitting in a room introducing yourself, Second Saturdays might be exactly what you're looking for.

Serve Day: The Whole Church, One Day

Our whole church rallies together one Saturday in July to tackle projects in the community — from painting at a women's shelter to packing gifts for first responders. Serve Day is one of our favorite days of the year. It's the kind of day that reminds you what a community is actually supposed to feel like.

In 2026, Serve Day is July 25th. Mark your calendar!

Outreach Groups: Find Your Thing

Participating in an Outreach Group is a great way to combine your passion with service to the community. These smaller campus-based teams partner with local organizations — shelters, care clinics, food pantries, partner schools — and meet regularly to serve in a more ongoing, relational way. It's not just a one-time volunteer shift. It's a community of people who show up together, week after week, for the same neighbors.

Year-Round, Right Here in Toledo

Year round, we host a free medical clinic, provide automotive assistance to those in need, and team up with our partner schools to invest in the next generation. These aren't flashy programs,  they're just consistent, practical ways of showing up for people who need it.

You Don't Have to Have It All Together

We mean that. We warmly welcome people of all backgrounds, whether they're following Jesus or still exploring their faith. Serving at CedarCreek isn't something you earn the right to do after you've checked enough spiritual boxes. It's one of the ways we invite people in — because doing something meaningful alongside others has a way of opening doors that sitting in a pew sometimes doesn't.

If you want to find your place, a great first step is attending GrowthTrack, a 4-week program designed to help you discover your God-given purpose and equip you to live life as a fully-devoted follower of Christ, with over a hundred opportunities ranging from once a week to once a month.
