Toledo has a lot of churches. What it doesn't always have is a church where you walk in as a complete stranger and actually feel like you belong before you've figured out what you believe. That's what we've been trying to build at CedarCreek since the beginning, and it's the thing people tell us most often when they describe why they stayed.
If you're new to Toledo, new to church, or just new to the idea of giving faith another shot, here's what you can expect from us.
What to Expect at CedarCreek Church in Toledo
From the moment you pull into the parking lot, our DreamTeam volunteers are there to welcome you. Not in a formal, clipboard-carrying way — just genuinely glad you showed up and ready to help you find your way around. There's no dress code, no expectation that you'll know anyone, and no moment where you'll be asked to stand up and introduce yourself.
Services run about an hour and include live worship music, free coffee, and a Bible-based message that connects to real, everyday life. It's practical, honest teaching that tends to stick with you past Sunday morning. You can participate as much or as little as you want. Observe, listen, reflect — whatever you need on your first visit is completely fine.
If you're bringing kids, CedarCreek Kids runs at the same time as every adult service for newborns through 4th grade. Middle schoolers have their own space too, so the whole family is taken care of at once. You can pre-register your kids online before your first visit to make check-in quick and easy.

CedarCreek Toledo Campuses and Locations
We have two campuses serving the Toledo area directly, plus four more across Northwest Ohio so wherever you've landed, there's likely a campus near you.
South Toledo is located at 2150 South Byrne Rd., Toledo, Ohio 43614, and can be reached at (567) 225-3355. Services run Sundays at 9am and 11am. Campus Pastor Seth Oswald leads this community with a story of genuine transformation, his own, that shapes the honest, compassionate culture of the South Toledo campus.
West Toledo is located at 2600 West Sylvania Ave., Toledo, OH 43613, and can be reached at (419) 720-8661. Services run Saturdays at 5pm and Sundays at 8:30am, 10am and 11:30am. Campus Pastor Ed Bellner has deep roots in the West Toledo community and has been part of CedarCreek since its early days.
Beyond Toledo, we also have campuses in Perrysburg, Findlay, Oregon, and Whitehouse — all offering the same welcoming culture and service experience.
How to Take Your First Step as a Newcomer
The best first step is the simplest one: just show up to a weekend service. You don't need to prepare anything, know anyone, or have any background in church. Come as you are, grab a coffee, and take it in.
From there, when you're ready, groups are the most natural next step toward finding your people at CedarCreek. Our semester-based groups meet throughout the Toledo area and are built around shared life stages and interests — a low-pressure environment to build genuine friendships with people who are asking similar questions. Some groups meet online, so geography doesn't have to be a barrier.
GrowthTrack is a great step after that. It's a free 4-week program that helps you discover your purpose and figure out where you fit at CedarCreek — whether that's joining a serving team, leading a group, or something else entirely. It runs one week per month at both Toledo campuses, and a lot of people say it's the thing that made CedarCreek feel like home.
If you'd rather start from home before showing up in person, every service streams live and on demand at watch.cedarcreek.tv.
What Makes CedarCreek Toledo Different
A lot of churches say they're welcoming. The thing that makes CedarCreek feel different is the specificity of that commitment. We lead with belonging before belief — meaning you're fully welcome here before you've resolved your questions about faith, before you've committed to anything, and before you've decided what you think about any of it.
That posture shows up in the people who lead our Toledo campuses. Seth Oswald at South Toledo leads from his own story of brokenness and transformation. Ed Bellner at West Toledo has spent years showing up for a community he genuinely loves. The DreamTeam volunteers at both campuses are there because they want to be, not because they drew a short straw.
Celebrate Recovery meets weekly at both Toledo campuses for anyone working through a hurt, habit, or hang-up. Our pastoral care team is available for hospital visits, funerals, and weddings. The CommunityCare Free Medical Clinic runs out of South Toledo, providing free healthcare to uninsured and underinsured members of the community.
We're not just a Sunday experience. We're trying to be a genuine community — and for newcomers to Toledo, that distinction matters.
