Prayer: 
Dear Heavenly Father, we thank you for your great love for us, and for sending your son, Jesus, to die for our sins and to reconcile us to you. We praise you for your grace and mercy that are new every morning. We pray for our communities, Lord, may they know you more. May the people in our communities who don't know you be introduced to Jesus. Help them respond to your life-changing love and put their trust in you. We ask you to fill us with your love and send us out into our communities to make your name known. Help us to respond to evil with good, to forgive as you have forgiven us, to serve others with humility. Help us to shine your truth and grace to those who don't know you. We pray all these things in the name of Jesus, amen. 

Scripture: 
This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins. Dear friends, since God loved us that much, we surely ought to love each other. No one has ever seen God. But if we love each other, God lives in us, and his love is brought to full expression in us. 1 John 4:10-12
