Do you want to make the holidays special? Some intentional thoughtfulness can create wonderful memories for you and your family!
1. PLAN
- How you will use your time. It's tempting to add more good things to an already full schedule. What needs to pause, or stop, so you can enjoy unique seasonal favorites?
- How you will spend your money. Nail down your budget for presents, decorations, and experiences with some accountability to stick to it.
- How you will honor expectations. Schedule a family meeting and invite everyone to share one thing that would make their holiday extra special.
2. PREPARE
- Your home. Declutter and get organized now to welcome decorations, holiday gatherings, and new toys.
- Your kitchen. Meal prep recipes for special family favorites. Is there something new you want to try?
- Your supplies. Purchase all needed items for wrapping, crafting, and cooking ahead of time.
3. PLAY
- Resist the pull to squeeze more into your holiday schedule. Slow your pace to spend quality time with those you love. Actually make the memories you've been dreaming of.
- Rest. Literally. Sleep in, slow down, laugh often, and eat well.
- Reflect. Talk with God about what was good and hard this past year. Where did you experience God's faithfulness, kindness, and provision? What did you learn and what next step might He have for you in 2025?
