Gratitude
Thank God for a moment this week when you felt close to Him.
Prayer
God, help me stay close to you not just at camp, but by stepping into the purpose you’ve given me.Scripture
Acts 1:8
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses…”
Now, read Acts 1:6–11.
The disciples were feeling what many people feel right now—they didn’t want the moment to end. They had been with Jesus, experienced something powerful, and their first instinct was to hold onto it. But Jesus shifts their focus.
They were asking how to stay in the moment. Jesus points them toward a mission. Instead of preserving a feeling, He gives them a purpose.
He tells them: You will receive power… and you will be my witnesses. That means closeness to God wasn’t meant to be something they stayed in—it was something they would experience as they stepped into what He was calling them to do.
What you felt this week wasn’t just emotion—it was awareness. And that awareness grows when you move toward your purpose.
Your faith isn’t just about what you experience—it shows up in your decisions. You don’t take camp home by trying to recreate the feeling. You take it home by stepping into the purpose God has already placed in front of you. Your “Jerusalem” isn’t far away—it’s the people already in your life: your friends, your family, your team, your school.
And as you move toward that, you’ll begin to experience God in real ways—not because you stayed in one place, but because you stepped into what He asked you to do.
Question: Who is your “Jerusalem”—and what step will you take this week to move toward them instead of waiting?
