Have you ever said "I think its a sign...." ? Often we look for external indicators to guide us in our decisions. And we see signs and wonders throughout the Bible, too. Acts 2:22, Acts 2:43, Matthew 12:39, John 4:48, Mark 13:22 are just a few verses that mention this.

Signs and wonders point us to God, but they are not the point. Its easy to let them become a distraction as we can get caught up seeking the miracles more than God. 

This season of Advent is the perfect opportunity to allow the little things to point us to God and not just his coming to earth, but that he chose to step into our lives by giving us the Holy Spirit. (2 Corinthians 1:22)

When we focus on Jesus and the Holy Spirit we experience:

• Power over our past. Romans 8:1
• Promise of a better future. Romans 8:11
• Peace under pressure. Romans 8:6
• Perspective in our present. Romans 8:15-16

This week take time to pause from the busy pace of the holidays and focus on Jesus and his gift of the Holy Spirit.
