Bottom Line: Jesus is the way.

Read:  Luke 5:1-11 

Thank you for answering the call from God to join the Kids Camp DreamTeam this summer. In our “Year of Yes,” our prayer is that you would see the blessing of following Jesus wherever He calls you! His call is never to perfection or performance, but to His presence. When Jesus called Peter, He didn’t wait until Peter had it all figured out. Peter clearly had more to learn, more ways to grow. That is all of us! 

Jesus simply stepped into Peter’s boat and asked for trust. The same is true for us. As leaders, it’s tempting to feel like we need to have everything together and execute perfectly. It is good to show up with the right energy, to plan the lessons with excellence, and to be prepared to help things run smoothly this week. But Jesus’ call isn’t about our polish – it’s about our posture. He asks us to be available, willing and surrendered for His Spirit to work through us.  

Remember, it’s the presence of Jesus that changes lives. Each small moment this week – a smile, a high-five, a quiet prayer behind the scenes – is a way you are answering the call to bring the presence of Jesus to the kids and families at Kids Camp! 

Prayer 

Dear God, I say yes to whatever You have planned. Use me however You want today. Help me be aware of Your Spirit in me and the way He is leading me to be used by you - through my words and actions with kids, their families, and my fellow DreamTeam members. Keep my eyes and ears open. Help me look for ways to step out in faith, to speak, to serve, or to show up, even if it feels small or unseen. May we feel your presence at Kids Camp! I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen.
