Bottom Line: Follow the Light. 

Read: John 8:12 

What a week! Your kids have been learning and laughing and exploring what it means to follow the light and live in God’s kingdom. 

The humbling reality is ... our children learn to follow Jesus by watching how we follow Jesus.  

Please don’t misunderstand. We will not do this perfectly and that’s the grace of it all. Our kids are watching how we lean in when we have questions, ask for forgiveness when we make mistakes and trust God with hard things. They also watch how we thank God for good gifts and throw our hands up in worship.  

God will give you everything you need to lead your family. So how can we help our children keep following the light they learned about this week? 

Bring your kids to church. 

Explore God’s Word together. 

Lean into tough questions. 

Solve problems God’s way.  

Step into prayerful moments before meals or bedtime. 

It’s one day, one moment, one conversation at a time.  

Your kids are on their own adventure with Jesus. Keep planting those seeds of faith and trust God to do the growing! 

Prayer 

Dear God, we thank You for the seeds of faith that were planted this week. I pray our home will be a place of light – Your Light – where my child will continue to grow in their relationship with You. Help me lead and love them well. My child needs You, and I need You too. May your Spirit guide us. I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen.
