We are in the first week of our series, Places where we will be exploring locations in the Bible that hold significance because of both what happened there and in the way they reveal something about who God is.
Take some time today to further explore some of the key points of the message using the discussion questions below. Discuss with a friend or your group, or simply take some personal time to journal your answers and consider what God is trying to teach you this week.

Discussion Questions:
- Icebreaker: What is your favorite place on Earth?
- People love having a mountaintop experience. What might someone miss if they never had to endure "the climb" to get to "the view"?
- Read Matthew 5:1-12. How do you see God meeting people in the challenges they are facing?
- What mountain are you facing? Where is God inviting you to trust and follow him?
- What is one step you can take as you begin to climb this mountain?
Series Theme Verse:
Romans 1:20
For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.
