We are continuing our series, Places, where we will be exploring locations in the Bible that hold significance because of both what happened there and in the way they reveal something about who God is.
Take some time today to further explore some of the key points of the message using the discussion questions below. Discuss with a friend or your group, or simply take some personal time to journal your answers and consider what God is trying to teach you this week.
Discussion Questions:
- Ice breaker: What activity do you find pointless?
- Where are some different places people can find purpose?
- Compare and contrast the gardens we learned about (Genesis 2:8-15; Mark 14:32-36; Revelation 22:1-5). What do you learn about God? What do you learn about our relationship with work?
- What is your garden? Where is God inviting you into meaningful work?
- What is one step you can take toward what you were made to do?
Series Verse:
Romans 1:20
For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.
