Over this past week, we have explored the very human struggle of wanting to do good but having those things not always turn out the way we had hoped. Sometimes it’s simply because things backfire, but often, it's that we do what we don’t want to do and don’t do what we do want to (Romans 7:15-19). If things ended there, it would be very discouraging. But God is amazing and he had a plan.
Today, I invite you to carve out a few quiet moments to reread the verses that really spoke to you this week. Some possibilities may include 1 Corinthians 15:57 and Romans 5:8. Then look back on the notes you captured from last Sunday and reflect on the actions you took this week.
You may consider making additional notes as you explore the following questions:
What have you learned about God’s abundant love for us?
How has your faith and love for God grown by this knowledge?
Prayer:
Jesus! What a precious and amazing gift you have offered us. Thank you for your sacrifice on the cross so we can be made right in God’s sight. Help me step into my purpose and share this gift of Good News with others, giving you the glory. Amen.
Series Theme Verse:
Romans 1:20
For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.
