Your 20s and 30s are a lot. New city, new career, new relationships, or the pressure of figuring all of those things out at once. If you've been wondering whether there's a community in Northwest Ohio where you can actually belong without feeling like you have to have everything figured out first, we'd love for you to check out CedarCreek.
We're not a church that just talks at you on Sunday and sends you home. We're a community built around helping people discover who they are, why they're here, and how to actually live that out — and that means a lot to people in the middle of building their lives.
Small Groups: Find Your People
One of the most common things we hear from young adults at CedarCreek is that they came for a weekend service and stayed because of a small group. Our groups meet at locations of their choice around Northwest Ohio, and some even meet online — which means you don't have to rearrange your whole week to find a community that actually fits your life.
Groups are organized around shared interests and life stages, so whether you're newly navigating post-college life, building a career, figuring out relationships, or just looking for people who ask the same questions you do, there's likely a group that's a real fit. The truth is, not everyone will find the best fit with the first group they try — which is why we encourage you to select a few groups that interest you, contact the leaders, and try out a couple before choosing the best one for you.

GrowthTrack: Figure Out Your Purpose
If you're in your 20s or 30s asking the question "what am I actually supposed to do with my life?" — GrowthTrack was built for that moment. It's a free 4-week in-person program that runs one week per month at every CedarCreek campus across Northwest Ohio. Each week digs into a different layer of who you are — your personality, your spiritual gifts, your passions, and how where God has placed you shapes what you're called to do.
By the end of the four weeks, you'll have a clearer picture of your purpose and a direct connection to next steps — whether that's joining a serving team, leading a group, or something else entirely. Sign up at cedarcreek.tv/growthtrack.
Serving: The Fastest Way to Meet People
If you're new to the area or just looking for a way to connect quickly, serving alongside people is one of the best shortcuts to real community we know. Our Second Saturday Serves happen monthly at every campus — hands-on outreach projects serving nursing home residents, people experiencing homelessness, at-risk kids, and more. Show up once and you'll understand why people keep coming back.
For those who want something more ongoing, the DreamTeam offers over a hundred volunteer roles — from once a week to once a month — that let you use your specific gifts to make an impact while building genuine friendships with people who share your values.
Weekend Services Built for Real Life
Our weekend services run about an hour and are designed to be relevant to the actual life you're living — not a performance you observe from a distance. The teaching connects Biblical truth to everyday challenges: purpose, relationships, anxiety, career, identity. It's the kind of thing that tends to hit differently when you're in the thick of building your adult life.
We meet at six campuses across Northwest Ohio — Perrysburg, Findlay, Oregon, South Toledo, West Toledo, and Whitehouse — with services on Saturdays and Sundays at times that work around a real schedule. You can also watch live or on demand at watch.cedarcreek.tv if you want to get a feel for things before you show up in person.
FAQs
Q: Is CedarCreek a good fit for someone who's skeptical about church?
A: Honestly, yes. A lot of people in our community came in skeptical and stayed because they found something real. You're welcome to come with your questions, your doubts, and your honest take on things — none of that disqualifies you here.
Q: How do I find a small group that's right for me as a young professional?
A: Head to cedarcreek.tv/groups to browse the group directory. You can filter by interest, life stage, and location. We recommend trying a couple before settling on one — finding the right fit is worth it.
Q: I have a busy and unpredictable schedule. Can I still get involved?
A: Absolutely. Small groups meet at various times throughout the week, some even meet online, and serving roles range from weekly to once a month. There's flexibility built into almost everything we do.
Q: What's GrowthTrack and do I have to be a committed church member to attend?
A: GrowthTrack is a free 4-week program open to anyone — no membership or commitment required. It's simply a great way to explore your purpose and see where you might fit in the community. Sign up at cedarcreek.tv/growthtrack.
Q: Are CedarCreek's events and groups open to people who aren't sure what they believe?
A: Yes — always. We warmly welcome people of all backgrounds, whether they're following Jesus or still exploring their faith. You don't need to have any of it figured out to belong here.
