– From Humble Beginnings to Life-Changing Moments
In 1995, CedarCreek Church held its very first Christmas
services at the Holiday Inn French Quarter in Perrysburg. Back then, things
were… simple. The band was passionate but not exactly prepared—some of the
musicians didn’t even know how to play traditional Christmas music. There were
no elaborate light shows, no custom arrangements, no video elements, and
definitely no custom video countdowns or online streaming. It was raw,
heartfelt, and built on a single hope:
to help people experience Jesus in
a real and meaningful way. What started small in a hotel ballroom has grown into one of
the most joy-filled, creative, and impactful Christmas experiences in Northwest
Ohio. Today, typically more than 10,000 people attend Christmas at
CedarCreek across seven campuses and online. But even with all that growth, the
heart has stayed the same—creating unforgettable moments that point people to
the hope of Jesus.
Over the years, Christmas services have blended fun, wonder, and deep
meaning in ways that have become uniquely CedarCreek. Think high-energy
dramas, moving life-change stories, laugh-out-loud moments, and music that
brings generations together. The Staff and Pastor Ben Snyder has embraced
everything from creative mashups to powerful worship moments, always finding
fresh ways to tell the Christmas story.
Some of these unforgettable moments have been captured over
the years. Check out these promo video’s from past services.
And woven into all this creativity are the stories that matter most—people who found hope for the first time, families who healed, and lives transformed by Jesus.
From musicians learning Christmas songs on the fly…to full productions filled with lights, music, story, and celebration…CedarCreek’s Christmas services continue to invite people into the beauty and meaning of the season.
And every year, God keeps writing new stories—one heart, one
family, one Christmas at a time.

brightly today. All three are still actively involved and serve on multiple
