When Drew Fuller stepped into a group called Anxiety with Jesus, a group created to support people dealing with anxiety through scripture and community, he wasn't sure what to expect.
A friend had started the group, and at first, it seemed like it might just be conversations about anxiety and faith. But it quickly became something more meaningful.
Drew struggles with anxiety, and what stood out right away was this: in this group, it was okay to not be okay.
Each week, the group gathers on Mondays—people of all ages, from different walks of life—coming together around a shared reality: faith and anxiety can coexist. There’s no pressure to have everything figured out. Instead, there’s openness, honesty, and support.
Their time together is intentional but simple. A phrase or topic about anxiety is introduced, sparking conversation and reflection. They also work on hands-on crafts—something tangible they can fidget with, helping ground their thoughts and create space for connection.
For Drew, it’s been a powerful reminder that he’s not alone in what he’s facing. More than that, it’s shown him that following Jesus doesn’t mean anxiety disappears—but it does mean you don’t have to carry it by yourself.
This group reflects a bigger truth: there’s a place for everyone. No matter your age, your story, or your struggles, you’re invited into community, into conversation, and into a deeper relationship with Jesus.
And sometimes, that’s where healing begins.
