CedarCreek: A Church for Families with Kids & Students

Church Community: Soarion Digital

Finding a church where the whole family actually wants to show up is harder than it sounds. The kids have to enjoy it. The teenagers have to not hate it. And you need to actually get something out of the service too, without spending the whole time wondering if your kids are okay.

At CedarCreek, we've put a lot of thought into making that experience work for every member of your family — from newborns all the way through high school. Here's what that looks like in practice.

CedarCreek Kids: Newborns Through 4th Grade

CedarCreek Kids runs every weekend at all six of our Northwest Ohio campuses during every service time. While you're in the adult service, your kids are in CedarVille — our dedicated kids ministry space — having their own age-appropriate experience with engaging lessons, worship, games, and small group conversations led by trained, background-checked volunteers.

Safety is something we take seriously. Every room is staffed with at least two volunteers who have completed a thorough onboarding process, including an interview, background check, and role-specific training. You can drop your kids off and actually focus on your Sunday without worrying about what's happening on the other side of the building.

First-time families can pre-register online before their visit to make check-in quick and easy. When you arrive, just head to the brightly colored check-in area and our team will take it from there. CedarCreek Kids is completely free for all families attending weekend services — no cost, no catch.

Beyond weekends, we also offer Kids Camp every summer — a four-night experience for current Kindergarten through 4th graders packed with large group sessions, games, small group conversations, and a Family Night at the end of the week for the whole family to celebrate together. Scholarship funds are available for families who need support with registration costs.

Child Dedication is another milestone we love to celebrate at CedarCreek. It's an opportunity for parents to publicly commit to raising their child to know God, and it takes place throughout the year. If that's something you're interested in, you can fill out an interest form and our team will connect with you.

CedarCreek Students: 5th Through 12th Grade

Our Student Ministry is built around one goal: helping the next generation build a genuine, lasting faith, not just show up because their parents make them. We do that through real community, relevant teaching, and experiences that meet students where they actually are.

Middle schoolers in 5th through 8th grade have their own dedicated space during every weekend service at every campus. It's an environment designed specifically for them — not a scaled-down version of the adult service, but something built around the questions and challenges they're actually navigating.

High schoolers in 9th through 12th grade gather on Wednesday nights from 7 to 8:30p at every campus for Midweek. These gatherings feature smaller groups broken down by grade and gender, giving students a place where they can be honest, build real friendships, and grow in faith without the pressure of performing or having it all together.

Every summer, we run two student camps: Fusion Camp for current 5th through 8th graders and High School Camp for current 9th through 12th graders. Both are a full week of engaging teaching, worship, friendships, and the kind of experiences that genuinely shape who students become. Scholarship support is available — last year, over 100 students received financial assistance to make camp possible.

What Families Should Expect at CedarCreek

When your family walks through the doors at any CedarCreek campus for the first time, here's what you can count on. Friendly greeters will welcome you and help you find your way around. There's no dress code, come as you are. No one is going to put you on the spot or make you feel like an outsider. And your kids are going to be in good hands from the moment you drop them off.

Services run about an hour at all six campuses across Northwest Ohio:

  • Perrysburg, West Toledo & Whitehouse: Saturdays at 5p, Sundays at 8:30a, 10a & 11:30a

  • Findlay & Oregon: Sundays at 8:30a, 10a & 11:30a

  • South Toledo: Sundays at 9a & 11a

Kids and student programming runs at all the same times, so there's no need to split up or coordinate separate schedules.
