Personal growth is one of those things that sounds straightforward until you're actually in the middle of it. It's rarely linear. It involves seasons of uncertainty, questions you're not sure you're allowed to ask, and a real need for people who will walk alongside you without judgment. At CedarCreek, we've tried to build a community that's actually equipped for that — not just on Sunday mornings, but throughout the week and across the different seasons of your life.
Here's how that plays out in practice.
It Starts with Honest, Practical Teaching
Every weekend at all six of our Northwest Ohio campuses, our services feature Bible-based messages designed to connect directly to the life you're actually living. Not theoretical. Not preachy. Just honest, relevant teaching that addresses real things — purpose, anxiety, relationships, identity, grief, and what it actually looks like to follow Jesus when life is complicated.
Services run about an hour and are a low-pressure environment to start. You can observe, ask questions internally, and take your time processing what you hear. A lot of people find that showing up consistently to weekend services is what starts shifting things for them, even before they take any other step.
If you can't make it in person, every service streams live and on demand at watch.cedarcreek.tv — free, no account required.
Groups: Where Growth Gets Relational
There's a limit to how much you can grow on your own. At some point, growth requires other people — people who know what you're actually going through and show up for you when things get hard. That's what our groups are designed to be.
Groups at CedarCreek are semester-based and built around shared life stages and interests. Some focus on specific seasons of life like parenting, navigating major transitions, or working through grief. Others are built around purpose and discovering what God has designed you for. Some meet in homes, some in coffee shops, and some meet entirely online.
What they all share is a commitment to real conversation over surface-level connection. You're not going to show up and sit in a circle reciting answers. You're going to wrestle with real questions alongside people who are doing the same thing.
No faith background required. No pressure to have anything figured out before you walk in.

GrowthTrack: A Turning Point for a Lot of People
If there's one program that tends to be a turning point for people at CedarCreek, it's GrowthTrack. It's a free 4-week in-person program that runs one week per month at every campus, and it's designed around one central question: what are you actually here for?
Over four weeks, you'll explore your personality, your spiritual gifts, your passions, and how where God has placed you shapes what you're called to do. By the end, you'll have a clearer picture of your purpose and a direct connection to next steps in the community — whether that's joining a serving team, leading a group, or something else you hadn't considered.
It's one of those programs that people consistently say they wish they'd done sooner.
Serving: The Part of Growth Most People Don't Expect
Something interesting happens when you start serving others. You start growing in ways you didn't anticipate. Confidence builds. Perspective shifts. The questions you've been wrestling with start to feel less abstract when your hands are doing something meaningful.
At CedarCreek, our DreamTeam has over a hundred volunteer roles available across all six campuses, from kids ministry and hospitality to production, parking, and outreach. Roles range from weekly to once a month, so there's something that works within a real life and a real schedule.
Beyond the DreamTeam, Second Saturday Serves happen monthly at every campus, giving you a practical way to serve your neighbors and connect with others at the same time. And Serve Day on July 25th is the one day a year our entire church mobilizes together for community impact, one of the most energizing experiences we offer for anyone at any stage of their growth journey.
Support for the Harder Seasons
Personal growth doesn't happen in a vacuum. Sometimes it happens in the middle of a really hard year, a loss, a broken relationship, a battle with something you haven't told many people about. CedarCreek has real support for those seasons too.
Celebrate Recovery meets weekly at several of our campuses — a Christ-centered program for anyone working through a hurt, habit, or hang-up. Our pastoral care team is available for significant life moments like hospital visits, funerals, and weddings. And our prayer team is available in person and through the app for anyone who needs it.
The LivingItOut devotional blog at livingitout.cedarcreek.tv is also a simple, practical resource for staying grounded in your faith throughout the week, not just on Sunday.
