We will go through the book, Moms at the Well. This 7-chapter Bible study offers a modern-day "well" for mothers-a gathering place to encourage one another, take an honest look at the challenges we face as moms, and experience the God who invites us into a process of spiritual transformation. There will be opportunity for individual Bible study of a mother from Scripture and then we will have group discussion in a virtual format every other week. More info on the book is here: https://www.ivpress.com/moms-at-the-well. NOTE: We are finishing the last 3 chapters of the book during the WINTER groups semester. But each chapter is independent of each other.

If you have a heart for the Next Generation to Know God, but don’t necessarily want to be in a classroom with kids on the weekends, you can still support our growing Kids Ministry at South Toledo! Come help prepare the classrooms for our kids and leaders on Sunday mornings. We need help preparing crafts, cleaning and preparing rooms, and doing some administrative duties. We'll start with sharing life and prayers with one another, incorporating the past weekend's message. Then we'll dive into getting CedarVille ready for Sunday, planning to have lunch together occasionally. It is a great way to be in community together as we equip the weekend team to build a knowledge and love of Jesus into a foundation for the rest of our kids' lives! If you have any questions, contact Sandra Sohn @419-902-2120.

The Screwtape Letters is a fictional collection of correspondence between two demons: Screwtape, a senior-level tempter, and Wormwood, a novice tempter and Screwtape's nephew, who is seeking guidance on how best to keep his "patient" (a human like you and me) away from God and out of the Kingdom of Heaven. Through this satire, C.S. Lewis describes the tempters' strategies to disrupt our walk with God, which offers opportunities to consider the practical, everyday challenges of the Christian life. Even though this group is based on a book, THERE IS NO NEED TO READ OR PREPARE IN ADVANCE. Instead, we will listen to a couple chapters of the audiobook version each week during our group time and then discuss key points and insights that resonate with our own lives. I invite you to experience Lewis's wisdom and some great fellowship as we learn, together, how to walk more closely with Jesus.

When you consider the book of Revelation, are you immediately overwhelmed by mysterious symbolism and terrifying images? When you read about worldwide earthquakes and trumpeting angels, monstrous beasts, and miracle-working dragons, do you long for the comfort of the Psalms, simple stories of the Gospels, or practical instruction of the Epistles?   (4) (4) You are not alone. For many readers, the primary purpose of Revelation is easily lost in trying to decipher prophecy and predict the future.  If you begin to feel lost in chapters about mysterious lampstands and sacred seals, remember what John tells us in chapter 1:  The primary purpose of Revelation is to reveal “the word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ.”   In short, Revelation reveals Jesus!  At the very time when so many are struggling, or when you yourself are suffering and in desperate need of real hope. At this very time—when our entire world seems to be teetering on the verge of war, when our streets are filled with anger and anarchy, when Christians around the globe are being persecuted in record-breaking numbers, when corruption and chaos have paralyzed political systems, when lies have been spun as truth, when spiritual darkness and oppressive deception blanket the nations, when wrong is judged to be right and right is judged to be wrong. Have you wondered, “Is there is real hope for the future of my children and my grandchildren?” The book of Revelation answers with a resounding YES!  Come and explore the book of Revelation and discover our real hope … Jesus!

We’ve all been hurt by other people, we’ve hurt ourselves, and we’ve hurt others. And as a result, every single one of us ends up with some sort of hurt, hang-up, or habit. But the question we all face is, Where do we go from here? We will be going through the book of “Life’s Healing Choices “ and using the Beatitudes of Jesus as a foundation that will bring true happiness and life transformation. In addition to practical, encouraging biblical teaching, each chapter includes two real-life testimonies of men and women whose lives have been transformed by living out the eight choices in this book. Through making each of these choices, you too will find God’s pathway to wholeness, growth, spiritual maturity, happiness, and healing. You’ll find real answers, real hope, and a real future—one healing choice at a time.

Change your lunch plans, and Change a Child's life! Join us every Monday for 45 minutes to make a difference at Whitehouse Elementary by being a "Lunch Pal" for a student who could use a friend. The school will identify students who could benefit from a mentoring relationship. Some students are facing social, economic, family and or academic challenges, or they are at a point in their lives where they will especially benefit from an additional positive and encouraging adult who spends time with them. You will be paired with a student based on similar interests and then have the opportunity to sit with them for lunch and go out to recess with them. Your willingness to invest time with a child will have a huge impact! There are 4 different time frames: 11:15-12pm, 11:45-12:30pm, 12:15-1pm, or 12:45-1:30pm You can pick 1 time frame for one student or 2 time frames, and impact 2 students. Background checks (free) will be provided and are required for this group.

In our group we believe in connection, family, and love. People need connection with one another, especially with adults. We are all Gods children and are made to have fellowship. Too many kids need to play and not be on social media. Once a month they can just be kids. We will have kids games set up for them, and connect with other kids. Just with fellowship, Jesus brings out the love. 1 John 1:6-7: Fellowship with one another involves walking in the light. I feel this will bring out the light in people being able to get out of the house, have a meal, and just connect. We can lift each-other with love and prayer. We understand times are hard and we just need to laugh, but also prayer about our circumstances. Jesus is love. So we can love each-other. Hebrews 10:24-25: Christians should meet together to encourage one another. So Let’s play Euchre! You don’t know how? It doesn’t matter, we can learn together. We meet every other Saturday. One week with kids, and one week without. Time away from children and time with adults. Come join us for a time with laughter and love.

Live Faithfully is written for any woman who has asked, Am I living what I’ve learned in the Bible? Am I faithful in how I speak, use money, and help people in need? In twelve thought-provoking lessons, this guide explores the truths of one of the most no-nonsense books in the Bible. James’s real-life applications are as motivating today as they were when they were written—and following his words will give women the help they need to live a life of true faith.

STEM Tech offers a dynamic group setting where participants have fun, develop STEM skills, and grow as a team. This group is tailored for kids in grades 6-9 who will attend with an adult partner. Adult participation is mandatory. This is a hybrid STEM group that merges coding, robotics, and engineering. No prior experience is required since kids interested in technology typically pick up new skills quickly. This year, we'll build on previous work with Micro Bit and Arduino as we incorporate 3D printing into our tech projects. We’ll provide the laptops and software. Participation is free, though participants are welcome to help with material fees where needed. Our sessions kick off on Tuesday, 1/21/2025, and will take place weekly from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., featuring a brief Bible study and a discussion.
