If you’ve studied John in the past here are some ideas on why the Gospel of John now! 1) God has something new to tell us every time we open Scripture—even the chapters we know intimately. 2) To be a people shaped by God, we must return to His Word again and again. 3) Miraculously, God’s Word relates to every experience life has to offer. The mission of Bible Study Fellowship is global, in-depth Bible classes producing passionate commitment to Christ, His Word and His Church. The vision is to magnify God and mature His people as they cultivate a deeper relationship with Him. In our study you will be spiritually fed! BSF uses a Four-Fold Approach. Each week, you answer questions from Scripture in personal study time, discuss the passage in your small group on Tuesday night, listen to teaching on the passage and then finally review notes that explore the passage further. Pray for God’s guidance-reach out and then show up …look forward to studying His Word with you!

The first 6 weeks, starting Friday 15th September, we will be studying 'What the Women Saw' by Sadie Robertson Huff. Do women matter to the kingdom of God? Jesus was surrounded by both men and women during his ministry on earth. He saw, valued, and cared for women, and he still does today. Each one of us has a significant role. Through this six-session study, you will discover who Jesus is through the unique perspective of women in the Bible. As you study the lives of Mary, Martha, Mary Magdalene and others, you will learn from their faith and failures and be reminded that Jesus cared for and valued the women he was surrounded by. He equipped them, listened to them, walked with them, healed them, and empowered them. And he does the same for you now. The last 6 weeks we will be studying 'Love in Chaos' by Bob Goff Good News for a Divided Culture We don’t have to look far to see division in our world. And in many ways, we are confused, angry, and disillusioned by all the chaos we’re experiencing. How should Christians respond to the chaos? What does it look like to live faithfully in these strange and challenging times? Join bestselling author Bob Goff in this six-session series as he helps us answer these questions. Learn what it looks like to follow Jesus and obey his commands even in a time of chaos.

Change your lunch plans, and Change a Child's life! Join us every Monday for 45 minutes to make a difference at Whitehouse Elementary by being a "Lunch Pal" for a student who could use a friend. The school will identify students who could benefit from a mentoring relationship. Some students are facing social, economic, family and or academic challenges, or they are at a point in their lives where they will especially benefit from an additional positive and encouraging adult who spends time with them. You will be paired with a student based on similar interests and then have the opportunity to sit with them for lunch and go out to recess with them. Your willingness to invest time with a child will have a huge impact! There are 4 different time frames: 11:15-12pm, 11:45-12:30pm, 12:15-1pm, or 12:45-1:30pm You can pick 1 time frame for one student or 2 time frames, and impact 2 students. STEM Family Fun provides a unique group environment where a caring adult and child can have a blast while building essential STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) skills and growing together as an unstoppable team. In our Fall semester, kids between 2nd and 6th grade will embark on an exciting journey to learn core mechanical and electrical principles by engaging in hands-on projects. Please note, the adult participant is not optional, and each child should be able to read at their grade level. Our STEM group kicks off on Monday, 9/25/2023. Our weekly meetings run for 90 minutes, starting at 6:30 pm and concluding at 8:00 pm. The sessions include a short Bible study and a discussion at the end. This semester, our dynamic teams will build an automata, an electric game, and another mystery construction project. After Thanksgiving, we'll start into basic robotics using Evive kits!

Is there a child in your life who likes tech and loves to build stuff? STEM Tech provides a group environment where a caring adult and child can have fun, build STEM skills, and grow together as a team. This group kicks off on Sunday, 9/24/2023 and is designed for kids in grades 4-7. Each kid attends with an adult teammate, i.e., parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle, older sibling, or mentor. The adult team member is not optional. STEM Tech is a hybrid group that combines coding and robotics with STEM engineering. At least one person on the team, either adult or kiddo, should have beginner level coding experience such as Scratch, Python, VBA, etc. This club is designed to move kids beyond block-based coding. This club is project focused. Some projects are kits while others are design challenges dreamed up by the group. Each session includes hands-on build time, so weekly meetings are typically two hours with a short Bible lesson (and snack!) at the end.

The Clothing Closet will accept donations of clothing from the community, sort and prepare them for display and then open our doors for those in need to shop on every second Saturday of the month. There are many different jobs that need to be done to begin this service to our community. We need people to help set up the room, advertise it to the community, sort the clothes, display the clothes in an appealing manner and, most importantly, help people shop. This group meets on Wednesdays from 6:00pm-8:00pm and Fridays from 10:00am-12:00pm. We sort and display the donations on these days. You are not expected to be there on both days, it's a very flexible outreach group.

Looking to serve others in need? Join our food pantry team to serve those in the Toledo area by helping them shop at the pantry, guiding them, befriending them and just making each person feel they are valued as they attend the pantry twice a month. Team members are asked to serve at least once a semester but are needed once a week on average to help stock shelves, clean, think of ways to improve the pantry, in addition to serving on pantry day. Mature students age 14 and above are permitted to help and we will certify community service hours if they need it for school.

The Bible is God's love letter to us. But sometimes it can be hard to understand. All of us have wondered, "What does that verse/passage mean?" at some point in our Bible study. Based on the book "How to Read the Bible for All Its Worth," this group will give you tools and strategies to help you understand the Bible better. We will discuss the best way to approach each genre (writing style) in Scripture and work through Bible passages together. Each week we will share how God's Word is impacting our lives, as we gain a better understanding of the Bible. Whether you are a new believer or a seasoned veteran, I hope you will consider joining this group, as we learn to study and live out the Scriptures together. We will meet online.

Our online yoga group will create a safe and encouraging place where participants can get to know one another, find calm, and connect their bodies, their breath, and their thoughts in a way that brings them peace, health, and intimacy/connection with God. Any experience level is welcome (even no experience)! There will be modifications presented for differing experience levels and each person will be encouraged to enter into their practice based on the needs of their body and no one else's. You will need internet access, a webcam, and a speaker to participate. Find a quiet space in your home (lock yourself away if you have to) and give yourself an hour and 15 minutes each week to find calm.
