2026-2027 Interns

I was stuck trying to figure out what I should write about, and then it hit me: I should write about the people who have helped me get to where I am today.

The first person is Edna Brice. She is the one who introduced me to the CedarCreek Internship, so she played a big part in the beginning of my journey. I am very thankful that she introduced me to this opportunity because it has already had such an impact on my life.

Next is Kali. She has shown me a lot about what she does to prepare for the weekend and has helped me understand more about everything that goes into making the weekend happen.

Jess is one of my closest friends, and I actually became friends with her before the internship started. I get a lot of information about the internship from her, and I am very glad that she is my friend. She has been someone I can talk to and learn from throughout this experience.

My supervisor, Gabe, has also been a huge help. He and I have a meeting at least once a week where we talk about how I can improve myself and what I have been working on throughout the week. I appreciate the time he takes to help me grow, both in the internship and as a person.

The first time I met my mentor, Barn, I knew pretty quickly that he was the right person to be my mentor. I was very excited to get to know him more and have conversations with him about life. I am looking forward to learning from him and hearing the wisdom he has to share.

Sean McGee has also been helping me a lot. He has been showing me around WhiteHouse and Oregon, explaining what everything does, and teaching me how to use some of the equipment that I had never used before. I have learned a lot from him already.

And, of course, there is Lauren. She has been teaching us so much about CedarCreek and, more importantly, how to bring Jesus into our everyday lives. She has helped me understand that this internship isn't just about learning skills or gaining experience; it is also about growing in my faith and learning how to live that out every day.

Last but not least are the other interns. I honestly could not do this internship without them. Even though I didn't know most of them before the internship started, they have become an important part of this experience. We are all learning and growing together, and I am thankful to have them alongside me.

There are honestly so many more people I could talk about who have helped me along the way, but if I listed everyone, this would probably turn into a five-page essay. Every person has played a different role in my journey, and I am thankful for each one of them, whether I mentioned them here or not.

God has been so good to me throughout this internship. When I look at all of the people He has placed in my life, I can see how each person has helped me in a different way. I am incredibly thankful for everyone who has been part of this journey so far, and I am excited to see what else God has planned for me.

This has been a year full of excitement and opportunities. I started this year not even knowing what CedarCreek was or what it was about. The only thing I knew was that it was a church I had seen on TV every now and then. But I had the opportunity to do an Owens internship in Production, and I had a list of places I could choose from. CedarCreek was on that list, so I decided to do my internship there.

I came in not knowing anybody or anything about CedarCreek, but I quickly became obsessed with it. I learned all about the equipment, met so many amazing people, and had a great experience.

As my Owens internship was coming to an end, Edna Brice, my internship host, told me that everyone really liked me and that I should apply for the CedarCreek internship program. She told me a little bit about what the program was, and I knew I wanted to learn more and continue being a part of CedarCreek. So, I immediately said yes and applied.

The biggest struggle was raising financial support. I couldn't find enough people to support me, and I almost lost hope and decided to quit. But God came into play, as always, and made a way for me to raise enough money to continue.

Now that I have started the CedarCreek internship, I have realized how different it is from my Owens internship. There are way more moving parts than I ever thought. There are meetings on top of meetings on top of meetings, and each one has something different being discussed. Every meeting is an important part of making the church run.

This experience has already taught me so much, and I know there is still a lot more for me to learn. I want to thank all of my supporters, my supervisor, my mentor, and all of my fellow interns. I truly could not do this without all of you!

I am excited to see what the rest of this year brings and where God takes me next.
