This past weekend we watched Jerry and Marge Go Large and saw how using our personality, passions and place to serve others enriches our life and helps us live out the purpose God has for us.
Carve out some time today, to dig into this week's message and explore some of the key points using the discussion questions below. Discuss with a friend or your group, or simply take some personal time to journal your answers and consider what God is trying to teach you this week.
Discussion Questions:
- Icebreaker: When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
- What do you think makes for a meaningful life? What does the world say?
- Read Ephesians 2:10, John 10:10, and 1 Peter 4:8. What do you learn from these verses about God and your purpose?
- What is a passion you have that you could use to connect with others?
- What is one small, adventurous step you could take toward your purpose, trusting God with the outcome?
If you were not able to join us in person this weekend, you might consider watching Jerry and Marge Go Large on your own and consider how the above verses and questions apply. If you choose to do so, please know CedarCreek does not agree with every part of the movies we have selected. We have used them for the purposes of illustration. Use your own discretion when you consider viewing these movies in their entirety and use caution if you are viewing as a family as some material may be inappropriate for children.
Series Memory Verse:
Romans 1:20
“For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.”
