No matter who you are, what you have accomplished, where you live, or what you look like, every one of us will experience pain. The question is, what do you do with the hurt that you have been handed in life?

Our tendency is to pretend and/or protect, which keeps us stuck and not living in the freedom God has planned for us.

Today, take time to read and journal on the passages below to help you take healthy steps forward.

  • Acknowledge what happened and how it felt. (Job 5:11)
  • Take down the walls that you have built up and let someone into your life and your hurt. (Galatians 6:2)
  • Remember God knows your hurt. (Isaiah 53:3)
  • Allow God to lovingly guide you through the pain. (2 Corinthians 1:3-4)

Listen and worship God with the songs below to remind of who God is and his love for you.
