Do you keep secrets?
Often we do, because we are afraid of what others will think. But when we keep our secrets hidden away, it doesn't allow us to live in the true freedom Christ intends for our life.
So, how do we find freedom from our secrets?
- Realize that truth is a captive of no one. It will always set itself free. (Hebrews 4:13)
- Tell God the truth. Bring the secret into the light. (John 8:12; 1 John 1:9)
- Tell those you love the truth. (James 5:16)
- Help others find a way into what is true.
Take a moment to meditate on the verse below and reflect on God's love for you and how we are called to love others.
1 John 4:18-19 (NLT)
Such love has no fear, because perfect love expels all fear. If we are afraid, it is for fear of punishment, and this shows that we have not fully experienced his perfect love. We love each other because he loved us first.
Then, spend time worshipping today and remembering the Goodness of God and his love for you.
