Spiritual Growth & Community Care at CedarCreek

Church Community: Soarion Digital

Tuesday, June 16, 2026

Most churches will tell you they care about their community. At CedarCreek, we try to show it, through programs that meet real, practical needs alongside the spiritual ones. Because we've found that the two aren't as separate as people think.

Here's what that looks like in practice.

Spiritual Growth Resources at CedarCreek

Growing in faith isn't something that happens automatically — it takes intention, community, and resources that actually connect to your real life. We've built ours around a few core things:

Weekend Services bring Bible-based teaching to all six of our Northwest Ohio campuses every weekend — honest, practical messages designed to connect to the life you're actually living, not just the one you bring to church.

Groups are where a lot of people find their people at CedarCreek. Semester-based and built around shared life stages and interests, they meet throughout Northwest Ohio — and some meet online. Low-pressure, genuinely relational, and one of the best investments you can make in your own growth.

GrowthTrack is a free 4-week program for anyone trying to figure out their purpose — covering your personality, spiritual gifts, passions, and what your next steps actually look like. It runs one week per month at every campus and connects you directly to serving opportunities and community when you're done.

Community Outreach Programs at CedarCreek

This is where things get pretty tangible.

CommunityCare Free Medical Clinic: In partnership with the University of Toledo, we host a free medical clinic at our South Toledo campus — providing comprehensive primary care, on-site medications, specialist referrals, and additional resources to uninsured and underinsured members of the Toledo community. No appointment needed. No insurance required. Just show up.

Automotive Assistance: We provide free automotive help to people in need — because a car that won't start can mean a missed shift, a missed appointment, or a family that can't get where they need to go. It's one of our quieter programs, but the impact is anything but.

Second Saturday Serves: Every month at every campus, we head out into the community for hands-on outreach — serving nursing home residents, people experiencing homelessness, at-risk kids, and more. It's a great entry point if you've never served before and want to see what it's actually like.

Serve Day — July 25th: Once a year, our whole church mobilizes for one day of community-wide impact. Last year that looked like painting at a women's shelter, packing gifts for first responders, and a whole lot more. There's a role for everyone.

Partner Schools: Year-round, we invest in local schools and the kids growing up in our communities — because we believe real community transformation starts with the next generation.

Why the Two Go Together

We're pretty upfront about the fact that at CedarCreek, spiritual growth and community care aren't two separate programs running on parallel tracks. They're the same thing. Serving your neighbors deepens your faith. Growing in faith makes you want to serve your neighbors. We've built our programs around that cycle — and it's one of the things that makes CedarCreek feel different from a lot of other churches.
