Being encouraged yourself is as important as encouraging others. In fact, when you are regularly poured into and encouraged, you will have more to draw from as you interact with those you encounter in your life.

So who is encouraging you?

Scripture reminds us to pay attention to the voices you are listening to. 

Proverbs 18:21
The tongue can bring death or life; those who love to talk will reap the consequences.

Consider the following questions carefully:

Who are the people that speak into your life? Are they voices of encouragement? Or are they voices of discouragement?

If your encouragement is in short supply, ask God to put encouraging people in your path and spend time in his Word to seek encouragement from the Lord.
