CedarCreek provides resources (over $2,000 value) to every intern accepted into the program. This includes things such as conferences and road trips to visit other churches. We also provide a mentor, coaching, and hands-on training in your selected ministry area. It’s a priceless experience learning and growing from some of the top leaders in Northwest Ohio.

Outside of the resources (over $2,000 value) provided by CedarCreek, interns accepted into the program will be paid through support raising. A minimum of $1,000 is required to start the program.

The Internship Program is open to young adults who are at least one year out of high school. If you are outside of the United States, a Visa is required.

We encourage interns to manage college classes and the internship program at the same time, like many of our past interns. We believe completing college and getting a degree should be your top priority. If your college or university offers internship credit opportunities, we will work directly with your counselors and/or professors to ensure you meet all the necessary requirements.

If adequate support is raised, interns can reduce or even eliminate their need for additional employment. However, many do hold another job while they are interning at CedarCreek. As we provide schedules for individual intern roles, we expect the internship experience to take precedence over other work schedules.

The majority of your internship responsibilities will require that you have a reliable form of transportation and housing within a reasonable distance of the campus/location where you are assigned.

You’ve probably heard of internships that are filled with tasks like taking out the trash, printing copies all day, and running to your local coffee shop to pick up coffee for your boss. While we do like coffee and you may make a few copies, at CedarCreek we are committed to stretching and empowering young leaders to carry out our mission to introduce people to Jesus and the life-changing adventure with Him.

While it’s absolutely true that some of our best hires have been interns, we don’t promise a job, we promise an experience. We are looking for people that want to be on mission with what God is doing in and through CedarCreek Church, whether that leads to a job in the church or not. If you enter into a season of ministry as an intern and expect to be rewarded with a job, you will be frustrated.

If your intern role is campus-based, the campus placement will be determined based on the skill-set of the intern and current opportunities available at each campus. If your Intern role aligns with our Central Support Teams, you will operate out of the Central Support offices, located at the Perrysburg Campus.
